Trailer fire at Dukes Auto Yard - April 30, 2009

At 3:40 AM, the Lodi Fire Department was dispatched to a reported "dumpster fire behind the Lodi Shoprite." Moments later, police dispatch retransmitted a correction that the fire was behind Duke's Auto Yard on Dell Glen Avenue and possibly involved a car. Arriving units gained entry to the auto yard through a locked chain fence and proceeded around a fully involved office-trailer up against a building.

As hose teams began putting water on the fire, members of Rescue Truck Company investigated extension on the roof of the exposure. Entry was made to the building, confirming that the fire had not spread to the interior.

A quick stop was made, and no injuries were reported. Saddle Brook, Garfield Haz-Mat and Bergen County Haz-Mat also assisted on the scene.
